Chapter 14 What a Temptress!

In the past, they would only meet once every four to five days. Ethan was very busy and Kristen rarely bothered him.

However, for some reason, Kristen wanted to see him now.

After arriving at the company, Kristen asked Anna to leave.

Wearing a mask and a hat, she walked into the hall. Jacob knew that she was coming, so he had been waiting for her in the hall for a long time. He led her directly to the president’s office.

“I’m sorry, Miss Healey. The president is still in a meeting. Should I inform him that you’re here?”

“No need. Go ahead with your work.”

Kristen had been here several times before.

She glanced around casually and then walked to the bookshelf. There were all kinds of books on it. She picked up a book at random and walked to the sofa.

Kristen took off her coat and took a sip of the coffee that Jacob had brought over. She then started reading her book leisurely.

Ethan’s meeting lasted for two hours. After it ended, he learned that Kristen was in his company.

He walked into his office.

Kristen, who was sitting on the sofa, had already fallen asleep. Ethan’s gaze swept across her pale face, long eyelashes, and red lips. He paused and took the book from the woman’s hand.

The book was titled “Being and Time”. He was a little surprised.

He thought that Kristen only cared about luxury goods and acting. He didn’t expect her to read such philosophy books.

Seemed to perceive Ethan’s movements, Kristen slowly woke up from her dream.

She rubbed her eyes and said drowsily, “Are you done with the meeting?”

Kristen didn’t know how seductive she looked at the moment.

Ethan looked down at the woman’s red lips. A dark light flashed through his eyes. He suddenly pulled her into his arms and lowered his head to kiss her lips.

Kristen paused for a moment, then wrapped her arms around his neck and responded to his kiss.

After an unknown period, she felt that she couldn’t breathe, so she pushed the man in front of her away.

“Time to go. It’s getting dark. I need to eat something. I’m starving!” Kristen got up in a hurry with a flushed face.

They knew what would happen if they continued the kiss...

A smile flashed through Ethan’s eyes as he helped her put on her jacket.

He said gently, “Next time just ask Jacob to tell me you are here.”

“Got it.”

They took Ethan’s private elevator to the underground garage.

No one in the company knew that their aloof president had left with his secret lover.

They arrived at the restaurant.

Kristen ordered a lot of their favorite dishes. Ethan went to the bathroom, and as soon as he came out, he met Steve.

Ethan’s gaze instantly became cold, and his aura was terrifyingly gloomy.

Steve walked over with a smile on her face.

“What a coincidence! Are you here for dinner too? Mom and Dad are also here. Would you like to join us?”

Ethan did not respond to his words, but asked, “What’s the benefit of telling Kristen that?”

Hearing this, Steve smiled faintly, “You’re so angry, she must be pretty important to you. She must have left you by now, right?”

“Heh.” Ethan lowered his gaze, “Why is a substitute important to me?”

Kristen was heading to the bathroom; she had just turned the corner when her entire body stiffened and she quickly stepped back.
